Our load frames are versatile fatigue test machines used for a variety of applications, from simple monotonic proof tests, to highly complex Thermo Mechanical Fatigue (TMF) experiments. The systems can be configured to run standard ASTM tests as well as unique custom protocols. The load frames are paired with our industry leading controller, and pumps to create highly accurate and durable test instruments. Our load frames are specifically designed to provide maximum rigidity.
BIA West offers a variety of load frame models ranging from 1 KIP (4.4 kN) to over 1,000 KIP (4,448 kN). Our axial torsion load frames offer both tension and compression as well as torsional capability. Crossheads are configured with hydraulic lifts and locks and we can also supply a wide variety of grips, fixtures, load cells, chambers and extensometers.
BIA West builds a family of load frames for different test applications.
301 Series loadframes are compact two column tabletop axial frames that can be sized from 1kip (4.44kN) to 5.5kip (24.42kN)
302 Series loadframes are cost effective two column floor standing units with plain bearings for forces from 11kip (48.84kN) to 110kip (489kN)
303 Series loadframes are low friction, high sideload two column floor standing units with hydrostatic bearings for forces from 11kip (48.84kN) to 110kip (489kN)
304 Series loadframes are high force four column floor standing units for force capacities in excess of 110kip (489kN)
306 Series loadframes are Axial Torsion load frames in all the above configurations
322 series load tables are special purpose load frames that include larger T slot tables for mounting long specimens. They may also include a crosshead and columns depending on your specific requirements.
